Garrett O'Donnell M.P.S.I. - The main man himself! Garrett set up this Pharmacy in 2004. He has become a pillar of the community with his extensive knowledge in all pharmaceutical, farming and sporting departments. Garrett’s passion for his customers extends outside of the pharmacy walls, He will go above and beyond to ensure his customers receive the best care. Garrett spends his downtime farming in Enniskillen, or running the country roads, training for marathons. Garrett is a great believer in fresh air and exercise being key factors in ensuring good health. He is most definitely an inspiration to all budding Pharmacists.
Roisin McHugh M.P.S.I joined our team in June 2018 as a regular Pharmacist. She has settled in Donegal and is a firm favourite with our local customers. Her extensive knowledge and kindness assures that our patients receive the best possible care. Roisin spends her downtime swimming the shores of Inver Bay, she is an avid sea-swimmer, believing that a cold dip in the Atlantic is great for both our physical and mental health. Roisin is available to answer any questions that may arise.
Amanda Cully M.P.S.I joined us in March 2018, as a regular Pharmacist. Her in depth knowledge and kind hearted nature has made her an invaluable member of our team; Her ability to make any patient feel safe and comfortable within our pharmacy means she is cherished by our customers. She maintains professionality while being able to laugh and have the Craic with anyone who walks through our doors. Amanda is no stranger to the area, as she has deep roots in the Downstrands locality. Amanda is available to answer any questions that may arise.
Patricia Hegarty; our longest standing member of staff (she is now into her third decade of working here!!!) Patricia is a Pharmacy Technician who is an expert in Phased Dispensing, Pharmacy Schemes and applications. She is a fountain of knowledge and a warm hearted individual who always has a smile on her face. Patricia’s advice is greatly valued by our customers, she always goes above and beyond to ensure that our customers receive the best possible care. We are truly lucky to have her. Patricia is available to speak with you in private about any prescription related queries or health advise.
Lisa Quinn is a Pharmacy Technician, qualified Make Up Artist and Beautician. She is a highly regarded member of the dispensing staff, (giving Patricia a run for her money) Lisa has worked in the pharmacy for almost 20 years! Lisa is available to speak with you regarding all skin care, makeup and beauty related questions, with high knowledge of all the latest brands. Lisa is fully trained in brands such as Vichy and Avené. She is our go-to person, for in depth advice for brides, problematic skin, or just for good skin care routine advice. Lisa is also available to speak with you regarding prescription related queries or general health advise, you'll be in safe hands with our Lisa!
Lisa Timoney is a qualified Health Promotion Officer and Pharmacy Technician, specialising in smoking cessation, health promotion in schools and mental health. Lisa is available to speak with you on a one to one basis about giving up cigarettes. She will be able to talk you through the available options, advantages and disadvantages, in order to help you quit for good. Lisa is also an advocate for good mental health, and believes we should give our mental health as much attention as our physical health. Lisa is always happy to speak with anyone in private or as a group, about looking after your mental health. Lisa’s knowledge, constant upskilling and eagerness to improve our pharmacy makes her a key member of our staff.
Nicola Bonner is a qualified Childcare worker, specialising in infants and toddlers. She is our go to woman for any mother or baby questions. Nicola specialises in the transition from hospital to home, with a huge range of knowledge in developing routines, the best brands for you and your baby and all the tips and tricks you need to make the transition from hospital to home a more relaxed process. Nicola is also an avid runner and fitness fanatic, so for any queries in this department we are sure she’ll be able to help. Nicola a member of our OTC staff, and is available to speak with you regarding all of our OTC products. Nicola’s knowledge, kindness and generosity makes her an invaluable member of staff.
Amy McGettigan has been a member of staff here since 2018. Amy began her journey as an OTC sales assistant and front of Shop assistant but soon realised her passion for pharmacy work and so decided to take her education further. She qualified as a Pharmacy Technician from LYIT in 2021. Amy is now leading our vaccination programme. If you have any queries regarding the Covid19 Vaccination or Booster Vaccination Amy is the woman to talk to. Amy’s caring nature and cheerful attitude has led her to become highly valued member of the dispensary team. Amy is happy to talk to any of our customers regarding prescription or general health advise.
Hannah Molloy joined our team in June 2018. She is currently training to be a Pharmacy Technician and without doubt adds a huge amount of hard work and attention to detail to our team. Her fresh and innovative ideas have brought our front of shop space to a whole new level. She understands the impact of patient care and patient confidentiality and is available to serve our customers to a very high standard!
Meabh Griffin joined our team in September 2019 as a OTC sales assistant and front of Shop assistant. She is an absolute joy to work with and her happy-go-lucky personality is adored by customers. She is an expert in our Photo printing service, passport photo printing and front of shop stock take. She hopes to one day qualify as either a Nurse or Teacher, and we can safely say, that whichever profession she chooses, will be lucky to have her compassionate, good natured personality looking after them. Meabh is available to serve customers and she is happy to answer any front of shop questions!
Rory Colyer is a Part Time member of our staff. He hails from Killybegs, but we won’t hold that against him!!! He is currently studying in LYIT, to qualify as a Pharmacy Technician but has his sights set on studying in Coleraine or Bradford in the near future. He hopes to one day qualify as a Pharmacist. Without doubt, Rory's professional, heart-warming attitude has been a breath of fresh air to Garrett O'Donnell Pharmacy. Along with the other members of our team, Rory understands the impact of patient care and patient confidentiality and is available to serve our customers to a very high standard!
